Jon Ruehle and Ed Getting opened Wheelchair Dynamics in 1996 with a desire to serve people with special needs. Both had worked previously in jobs that dealt with the disabled and this gave them the desire to start their own business. They believed in quality products and service after the sale.
Wheelchair Dynamics also supplies wheelchair accessible vans, mini and full size. These vehicles have lowered floors to allow for the necessary headroom that someone in a wheelchair would need. Wheelchair Dynamics is a certified dealer for Vantage Mobility International. VMI has been in business since 1987 and Wheelchair Dynamcis has been a VMI dealer since 2001. VMI offers the safest and most reliable van conversion available today.
Wheelchair Dynamics, Inc is a full service company providing special products for people with special needs. Certified and experienced personnel work with the customer in the evaluating and purchasing of major brand wheelchairs (manual and power), seating and positioning products. bed and mattress items, three and four wheeled scooters, lift chairs, walkers, wheelchair/scooter lifts and ramps, van conversions and much, much more.
Wheelchair Dynamics, Inc. handles several high quality lines of name brand wheelchairs, including Invacare, Jazzy, Quickie, and Extreme. These wheelchairs have the latest available features such as lightweight frames, recline, tilt-in-space, advanced electronics, choice of colors and more. All chairs offer durability, comfort and performance.
Three and four wheeled scooters are fast becoming a reliable source of transportation for those with assistive needs. Wheelchair Dynamics handles many lines of scooters. One line is Ranger All Season Corp out of George, IA. These scooters are known as the Solo and Safari
Lift chairs manufactured by Pride come in a large variety of colors and sizes to best suit the customers' need. The helpful staff at Wheelchair Dynamics can fit the right chair to the customer. Pride lift chairs come with either a three or four year warranty and a lifetime warranty on the lift mechanism.
Some additional products sold and repaired include: Walking Aids-Hospital Beds-Mattresses and Accessories-Bathroom Aids-Standers-Specialized Bicycles & Tricycles for adults and children-Lifts and Ramps-Patient Handling Products.
Wheelchair Dynamics utilizes the latest technology for seating and positioning needs. Product lines include Crown/Roho, Jay, Star, and Otto Bock. With Otto Bock offering the ability to custom mold the seat and/or back to the customers own body shape.
Service is important to Wheelchairs Dynamics. They provide in-home service and take the time to ensure that each fitting is done properly and that the equipment being purchased will work in a client's home. Time is spent measuring to make sure that what the client gets is what he or she needs. Time is spent in the clients environment to make sure that the product, when it is in their home, will work the way it was meant to.

Located on Highway 18 in Sheldon, Iowa Wheelchair Dynamics, Inc. will be happy to work with you at our store location at 913 Park Street. We have a large blacktop parking area and a heat/air conditoned garage to make loading and unloading easier. We also have an evaluation room and a full service shop on the premises. If it is not convenient for you to come to us, we will come to you.
