The Invacare ProSpin X4 was designed to be one of the lightest-weight folding wheelchairs
available while also improving the durability needed to endure many years of folding and
unfolding. The improved crossbraces allow for a tight, compact fold so the X4 can be easily
transported in the back seat or trunk of most vehicles. The swing-in/swing-out front riggings
allow consumers to swingaway the footrests either to the outside or underneath the
wheelchair. This allows easier transfers from the wheelchair into an automobile seat or
office chair without having to back up the wheelchair.

The Invacare Solara incorporates features never before available on a manual tilting chair,
because it is built around a radically new concept - keeping the client's center of gravity
almost perfectly stationary throughout the entire 55 degree tilt range. This allows for a
more compact wheelbase, without sacrificing stability. It makes tilting the chair almost
effortless, since the client's weight is not a factor in the tilting process. And it can
help decrease startle reflex, since the client is tilted into the frame rather than around
a fixed pivot point. But there's more to the Solara than a stationary center of gravity.
A built-in 2" drop base facilitates remarkably low seat-to-floor heights. A standard flared
front end increases space for feet between the casters. A positive lock mechanism eliminates
the "sponginess" common to hydraulic looking cylinders. And for the first time ever on a
manual tilt-in-space chair, the caregiver can tell at what angle the chair is tilted, thanks
to a tilt angle indicator.
