Job Overview:

Wheelchair Dynamics, Inc. is one of the leading handicap mobility companies in the quad state area. We pride ourselves with helping people with their mobility needs whether it be on the road or in the home or office. We assess client needs, sell, install and maintain a variety of mobility related equipment from wheelchair accessible vehicles, ramps, stair lifts, scooters, wheelchairs, lift chairs, walking aids to name a few.

We are currently seeking a talented Installation Technician professional to join our team with installs between our Sheldon and Sioux Falls store locations.

This individual would float between our Sheldon, IA store and Sioux Falls, SD store and help with installations of ramps, stair lifts, platform lifts and other mobility equipment as needed.

Responsibilities for Installation Technician

  • Report to either the Sheldon OR Sioux Falls store locations depending on need
  • Install new mobility equipment and test them to ensure they are working correctly
  • Educate the client on how to use and maintain their equipment
  • Perform maintenance and provide excellent customer support
  • Diagnose problems and come up with solutions to repair them
  • Order parts needed for repairs if needed
  • Document and keep record of services that have been performed
  • Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers in a professional manner
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers

Qualifications for Installation Technician

  • Ability to travel to Sheldon OR Sioux Falls depending on need
  • Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
  • Working knowledge of the equipment needed for the job
  • Ability to work independently without much supervision
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work locations
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work around changing schedules

Candidate must be mechanically inclined
